A long time ago I wrote three tutorials on how to achieve a 3D look with Flash. This was back in the Flash 3 days, before everyone and their mother had a tool that could export 3D to SWF. Nowadays, it's probably easier to use a tool that natively exports your favorite 3D model in Flash format. But back in those days, we had to do our 3D the hard way, uphill both ways in 5 feet of snow. It built character, anyway, and what do you kids know about hard work these days?
Future Articles will be posted in the blog.
Here are my three Flash 3D tutorials:
- Flash 3D With Microsoft Word 97+ - Apparently those 3D effects you can put on text in Word are useful for something.
- Flash 3D With Pro/ENGINEER - Use an incredibly expensive solid modeling toolkit to make spinning models in Flash.
- Flash 3D By Handtracing - Doing it the hard way.
